Nach langer Vorbereitungszeit ist es nun endlich soweit: die Sonic Seekers Tour 2010 ist hiermit eröffnet! Heute Abend (22. Mai) feiern wir den Auftakt mit dem ersten Tour-Stop im Kulturhaus / X-Club in Oberweißbach (Thüringen). Das Line-Up besteht aus hervorragenden alten und neuen SWU-Mitgliedern, sowie Unterstützung durch unsere Partner von Klartext. Müssen wir noch etwas hinzufügen? Nur soviel: Wer's verpasst ist selber schuld ;-)

After a long time of preparation, the time has finally come: we declare the opening of the Sonic Seekers Tour 2010! Tonight (Mai 22), we will celebrate the kick-off with our first tour stop at Kulturhaus / X-Club in Oberweißbach (Germany). The line-up consists of outstanding SWU members, both old and new ones, as well as support by our partners from Klartext. Is there anything more to say? Just this: Blame yourself if you miss out ;-)

Sonic Seekers Tour 2010

In 2007, the Sonic Warriors United project (SWU) was born out of love to the roots of electronic music and the knowledge and experience of more than 20 years of artistic engagement.

It's mission is the revitalisation of something that has fallen into oblivion since about 1991 when the scenes started to separate: the fusion of Techno, EBM, Electro and Industrial dance music.
It's about thrilling a new generation of Sonic Seekers with an excellent and unique mix of Old School and New School to rediscover a long lost musical feeling which is comprised of openness and tolerance.

It's time to get beyond the narrow-mindedness of some clubs and media who present the same music styles along stereotypical categories again and again. The roots and the future of the electronic dance music underground have their foundation in intensity and diversity of rhythms and sounds, that come to life only beyond pigeonholing and preconceived opinions.

Since the existence of Sonic Warriors United, more and more people have been fascinated and won over by this project. After having accomplished the very successful Nocturnal Rhythm Tour 2009, established and new Sonic Warriors from Europe and America continue their mission. As DJs and live acts, they step up to fight for the realization of these ideas and visions on the Sonic Seekers Tour 2010.

Aus tiefer Verbundenheit mit den Wurzeln elektronischer Musik, dem Wissen und den Erfahrungen aus über 20 Jahren künstlerischer Arbeit, ist 2007 das Sonic Warriors United Projekt (SWU) hervorgegangen. Sein Ziel ist die Wiederbelebung von etwas, dass seit etwa 1991 in Vergessenheit geriet, als sich die Szenen auseinander entwickelten - die Verschmelzung von Techno, EBM, Electro und Industrial-Tanzmusik. Es geht darum, eine neue Generation von Sonic Seekers mit einem erstklassigen Mix aus Old School und New School zu begeistern und ein lang verlorenes Musikgefühl neu zu entdecken, das durch Offenheit und Toleranz geprägt ist.

Es wird Zeit über die Engstirnigkeit mancher heutiger Medien und Clubs hinauszugehen, die immer die gleichen Musikstile in stereotypen Kategorien präsentieren. Die Wurzeln und die Zukunft des Undergrounds der elektronischen Tanzmusik liegen in der Intensität und Vielfalt von Rhythmus und Sound, wie sie nur jenseits von vorgefassten Meinungen und Schubladendenken erfahrbar sind.

Seit dem Bestehen von Sonic Warriors United konnten immer mehr Leute von dem Projekt fasziniert und überzeugt werden. Nach der überaus erfolgreichen Nocturnal Rhythm Tour 2009 setzen daher bewährte und neue Sonic Warriors aus Europa und Amerika ihre Mission fort. Sie treten als DJs und Live Acts an, um auf der Sonic Seekers Tour 2010 weiter für die Umsetzung dieser Ideen und Visionen zu kämpfen.

Nitzer Ebb - Industrial Complex

Sehr zu empfehlendes Werk von Douglas McCarthy und Bon Harris, dem man die mittlerweile ziemlich starken Einflüsse von Terence Fixmer anmerkt, was aber sehr zum Vorteil gereicht.
So sind einige Wechsel von gängigem, aber geilem EBM, zu experimentelleren Techno-Sounds bis hin zu fast schon (für NEP-Verhältnisse jedenfalls) melancholischen Tracks dabei.
Von den Remixen auf der Limited-Scheibe braucht man garnicht reden, die sind ohnehin ziemlich exklusiv(wer bekommt schon mal RECOIL-Mastermind und Ex-Depeche Mode Alan Wilder an die Regler), und tanzbar sowieso.
Also schon fast eine Kaufverpflichtung.
Hörts euch an und entscheidet selbst.

This is an event we are especially looking forward to - Sonic Warriors United and Schlagstrom teaming up to deliver a night of the finest Industrial Techno, Electro and EBM you can find out there! It's going down next Saturday (March 20) at RAW Tempel in Berlin - Friedrichshain.
For quite a while now, the Schlagstrom crew is holding up the torch for all things Industrial in the capital of electronic dance music, and if you have attended one of their events in the past, you'll surely agree that they take great care for the quality of their parties. And this one will be no exception without a doubt!
Now, do we still have to comment on this tasty line-up? If you're not in Berlin anyway, you should seriously consider to make the trip - otherwise you might regret it later to have missed out a real bad-ass show! See you there!

Das ist eine Veranstaltung, auf die wir uns besonders freuen - Sonic Warriors United und Schlagstrom tun sich zusammen, um eine Nacht mit dem feinsten Industrial Techno, Electro und EBM zu präsentieren, die ihr da draußen finden könnt! Nächsten Samstag (20. März) geht es ab im RAW Tempel in Berlin - Friedrichshain.
Die Schlagtrom Crew hält nun schon eine ganze Weile in der Hauptstadt der elektronischen Tanzmusik die Fackel für alles was mit Industrial zu tun hat nach oben, und wenn ihr schon einmal bei einer ihrer Veranstaltungen wart, dann werdet ihr sicher zustimmen, dass sie sich sehr um die Qualität ihrer Parties bemühen. Und diese wird zweifellos keine Ausnahme sein!
Müssen wir noch dieses vielversprechende Line-up kommentieren? Wenn ihr nicht sowieso in Berlin seid, dann erwägt ernsthaft die Reise - ansonsten bereut ihr vielleicht später, dass ihr eine verdammt abgefahrene Show verpasst habt! Wir sehen uns!
